Rubens House reception building opened

Today the renovated reception building, library and garden of the Rubens House were officially opened. BAM Interbuild completed this new landmark commissioned by the City of Antwerp.
Our site team has been working intensively on this magnificent project since January 2023, and after 18 months we are proud to report that they have completed it with great success.

The building is not only visually appealing, but also incorporates advanced technologies and sustainable solutions. Geothermal drilling to a depth of 150 meters below the building, combined with a heat pump, provides heating and cooling. In addition, concrete core activation and underfloor heating are integrated into the concrete floors, and ventilation system D is used. Solar panels on the roof provide an additional contribution to the renewable energy supply.

As of today, the Rubens House is back open and the public is welcome to visit the Rubens Experience, the renovated historic garden and the library. The artist's house itself will remain closed for renovation until 2030. But from the garden you have a beautiful view of it.
