The Swallow Fund once again supports three charities

At BAM Belgium, we believe in building a better, social and inclusive world. Not only for our colleagues, but also for the people outside our organization. This is why we set up the Swallow Fund in 2012, through which we annually support good causes that have a positive impact on society.

Since 2019, every year we select three charities that our employees have a close relationship with. With this involvement, we increase the social impact of our actions and make a difference where it really counts. This year too, we have chosen three wonderful initiatives and support each of them with a donation of €2000. This way we contribute our bit to their important work and together we take steps towards a better future.

1. To Walk Again is committed to helping people with disabilities and giving them the opportunity to live full and active lives. As a recognized volunteer organization, To Walk Again focuses on three main pillars:

Increasing quality of life through inclusive sports and exercise activities for both children and adults.
Providing hope through research and development in the field of high-tech rehabilitation.
Promoting maximum integration into society through ongoing rehabilitation and support.

With our donation, BAM Belgium contributes to To Walk Again's mission to enable inclusion, hope and participation for people with profound physical disabilities.

2. Spierziekten Vlaanderen is a voluntary organization that has been working for people with neuromuscular disease (NMA), better known as muscular diseases, since 1987. They bring persons with muscular diseases, their families and stakeholders together and create a close community based on solidarity.

With a wide range of activities, Spierziekten Vlaanderen offers:

Information and peer contact.
Activities aimed at the welfare and support of their members.

Our donation of €2000 will be used specifically to organize their family day. During this special day, patients and those around them can enjoy customized activities that provide relaxation, connection and great memories.

3. Buurtwerk 't Lampeke, based in the Ridderbuurt neighborhood in Leuven, is committed to helping people in socially vulnerable situations. The organization works directly with people experiencing disadvantage and offers concrete support by working with them to address problems.

't Lampeke strives to:

Breaking opportunity poverty and providing new perspectives.
Promoting a social mix where rich and poor get to know each other better and work together.
Establishing projects that contribute to a stronger neighborhood and a better society.

With this donation, BAM Belgium supports the important work of 't Lampeke to create connections and provide opportunities for those in need.
