'Het Gasthuis' will be a new building on the Gasthuisberg campus in Leuven, commissioned by UZ Leuven and Hospex.
A DBFM project that we won with Kairos as delegated project manager, BAM Interbuild bv as general contractor and BAM FM that will be responsible for maintenance on the site for another 20 years. The design is byRobbrechten Daem architecten and Bureau Bouwtechniek NV, while the engineering is by Macobo-Stabo and BAS.
This new versatile building of approximately 28,000m² will accommodate hospitality facilities/services for staff and visitors, as well as commercial spaces, office space and a hotel. It will be a non-medical building serving the campus.
The building will consist of 8 floors, with the first 2 being a "health mall," the third and fourth floors will be office space for UZL, and floors +5 to +8 will be a hotel.
