The Banks: A green renewal on Harbor Avenue

We are currently undertaking the construction of The Banks, in partnership with Vanhout. The Banks is an innovative residential project that replaces the iconic KBC building on Brussels' Havenlaan. Commissioned by Triple Living, together with star architects OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen and Nicolas Firket Architects and landscape architect Bas Smets, we are bringing to life a new, family-friendly urban district.

Architecture, greenery and quality of life

The Banks consists of three towers, each with its own facade color, and one horizontal volume that connects the site to the neighborhood behind. There will be a total of 216 apartments, including 16 duplexes and detached houses, spread over a rich variety of sizes and layouts. Each apartment will have quality outdoor space: terraces, winter gardens or balconies overlooking the green heart of the project.

The green courtyard, designed as an oasis of tranquility, forms a connecting heart. Through this square, a natural link runs to Becopark: a boulevard-like park of 3.2 hectares that leads to the water, Tour & Taxis and future green zones.

Public and collective functions: more than housing

The Banks integrates collective facilities that strengthen the neighborhood: including offices, a nursery, a brasserie, two meeting spaces and a hotel. These functions give the project life and social support. With 200 parking spaces, underground bicycle storage and even shared cars (including electric ones), we are strongly committed to sustainable mobility. The open, connecting architecture replaces the closed KBC block and allows public greenery to run right up to the buildings - with a view of the canal and the future Becopark.

A neighborhood with future prospects

The Banks anchors itself in the middle of the transformation of the Canal Zone. The proximity of Tour & Taxis, the new Suzan Daniel Bridge, and the arrival of the Centre Pompidou and a market and events hall (Gare Maritime) reinforce the location as a residential, work and investment hub. Brussels continues to grow and The Banks is a perfect fit.
