Revaluation project in revitalization of Anderlecht site

The NovaCity project involves the rehabilitation of the old site along the Monssesteenweg in Anderlecht. Interbuild is building this project on behalf of Kairos (for CityDev). Phase 1 provides for the construction of 63 residential units and 16 SME studios with polyvalent spaces. In total, this amounts to an area of approximately 7,560 m². In addition, there will be 31 above-ground parking spaces reserved for the workshops and their visitors, 142 bicycle parking spaces and approximately 3,600 m² of public space. The project is being carried out in temporary association with sister company Galère, was started in January 2021 and will be completed by the end of 2022.

The project is the engine in the revitalization of a neighborhood composed of industrial and residential zones in Anderlecht. NovaCity can be considered a piece of city in itself, with transparent boundaries and a strong interaction with the surrounding neighborhood. The backbone of the project is formed by a series of communal spaces that ensure that the residential and economic functions are "intertwined. They provide meeting, exchange and a sense of community, while a series of patios ensure that the privacy of the homes is perfectly maintained. Moreover, the large roof areas will be arranged as gardens for the dwellings above.
