Scholen van Morgen is a public-private partnership between the Flemish government on the one hand and AG Real Estate and BNP Paribas Fortis on the other, jointly structured through DBFM Scholen van Morgen nv. The program includes the design, construction, financing and 30-year maintenance of 182 school building projects. Each School of Tomorrow is a unique project, based on local needs and vision, and meets all modern requirements in terms of sustainability, comfort and flexibility.
The three elementary school sites are brought together on one site. This site also houses the municipal child care center. It also houses a (municipal) gymnasium that can also be used after school hours.The entire new school building has a total area of 2,900 m², which is divided among other things between 12 classrooms, a multipurpose room, administration rooms and teacher's room, the necessary circulation rooms, sanitary facilities, elevator, computer room and covered play areas for both preschoolers and elementary school children. After school hours, the playgrounds function as a public space: a free passage area for the residents of the residential area behind and as a play area for the children of Neerpelt.
BAM fm is responsible for owner maintenance for a period of 30 years.
